8. Slider

Liber theme has a featured post slider built in and it can easily be enabled from the Customizer. You can enable it on the front and blog page. However, many people might want to use a premium slider with more features and we have you covered there as well. Liber theme package includes one of the best premium WordPress sliders, the Soliloquy slider.

Soliloquy slider installation file is located in the "plugins" folder within the main theme download folder. To install the slider navigate to the Plugins » Add New » Upload » Choose file, select "soliloquy.zip" from the plugins folder and hit the Install now button.

 

After you install and activate the plugin you'll see the new menu item named "Soliloquy". Now verify your license key (included within the plugins folder)and if there is a new slider update available, update it before you continue. In the end install slider addons that you need for your project.

 

Slider Themes Addon is used in the theme demo.

If you don't see addons at first click on the "refresh button" and they will show up.

 

To create a slider click on "Add New" and name it. Here you can add your images. If you click on the blue "i" icon in the top right corner of each image you'll be able to add caption text to that image.

Once the images are added you might want to configure slider settings by navigating to Config.

When you finish creating your slider, navigate to a page, post or widget where you want to use your slider. On pages and posts, on the top of the editor you`ll find "Add Slider" button.

 

Click on the button to open a new window. There you'll see created sliders and select the one you want to use on that page or post:

 

If you want to use slider inside the widget sidebar, navigate to Appearance » Widgets, there you'll find "Soliloquy" widget. Drag and drop widget to one of the available sidebars and choose the slider you want to display from the dropdown menu.
